Adriane Boag has championed inclusion and leads the week-long National Summer Art Scholarship for youth at the NGA. In 2007 Adriane instigated the Art & Dementia Program. In 2009 Adriane and a colleague devised the Art & Dementia Outreach Program for regional galleries.
Adriane has supported the development of a national network of art and Dementia specialists and presented the NGA’s Art and Dementia program internationally. These engagements include the International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology Conference (IAGG) South Korea 2013; The Refinery, MoMA New York, 2014; Cities, Museums and Alzheimer’s Italy 2017, and Art and Ageing Japan 2018. In 2016 Adriane delivered a TEDx talk.
