Angelita Teo
Director at Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage, Switzerland

Director of the Olympic Foundation for Culture & Heritage at the International Olympic Committee since October 2019, Angelita Teo, has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne, and brings an extensive experience from the world of Arts & Culture. She started her career as Assistant Curator at the Asian Civilisations Museum, and worked for 17 years at the National Heritage Board (NHB) of Singapore and was the Senior Director for Museums and Festivals before leaving in September 2019. In that capacity she was Director of the National Museum of Singapore, where she launched projects that blends art, history and technology. She was also concurrently the Director of two festivals, the iconic Singapore Heritage Festival and Singapore Night Festival (which welcomes over two million visitors annually) and was responsible for eight editions of both festivals. Between 2014 and 2015, she helmed the Museum’s complete revamp of its permanent galleries, which reopened in September 2015. In 2014, she was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) for her contributions towards the development of a vibrant cultural and heritage sector in Singapore. She also undertook management of the Museum Roundtable in Singapore, an association that looks after the capability of building private and public museums in Singapore till her departure from the NHB in Sept 2019.
