Anna is leading the development of StartSpace for State Library Victoria, preparing early-stage entrepreneurs to kickstart their business journey and supporting the growth of Victoria’s innovation economy. The new $2 million StartSpace facility offers free coworking spaces, training, business mentoring and networking programs. StartSpace is part of Vision2020, State Library Victoria’s $88.9million redevelopment program which opens on 5th December 2019.
Under the StartSpace banner, Anna has partnered with ACMI to co-found Foundry658, a unique accelerator program designed specifically for creative startups seeking to scale their businesses. The first cohort will March-May 2019.
From 2005, Anna was on the founding team at Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature and the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, and as one of Creative Scotland’s International Creative Entrepreneurs Anna went on to deliver creative industries initiatives in South Africa, including global social investment program COMMON Pitch. Anna has previously worked with the Edinburgh Festivals and Small Business Gateway and has written and presented extensively for media outlets including the BBC and the ABC.
