Director at mudac, Switzerland
Chantal Prod’Hom was born in Lausanne, June 15, 1957. She was educated in Lausanne and became an art historian, with a master from Lausanne University. Then, she got a postgraduate diploma in museology from the New York University.
After beeing appointed as Curator at the Museum of fine art in Lausanne, she has been in charge of the first contemporary museum from the French-speaking part of Switzerland, the Edelman Foundation of Contemporary Art in Pully/Lausanne.
Further, Chantal Prod’Hom has been working as Executive Director of the communication and visual art’s research center called Fabrica and located in the area of Treviso, Italy. This place of creation without equal has been founded by Luciano Benetton in colaboration with his accredited photograph, Oliviero Toscani, father of his most sulphurus advertising campains.
Since 2000 until today, and as a planner of several art and design exhibitions, she officiates as Director of mudac (Museum of design and contemporary applied arts) in Lausanne. Nowadays, she also presides the Board of Directors of PLATEFORME 10, and with her knowledge and long experience in museology, she goes towards coming true this great architectural and artistic project.
