Resound Project Manager, Health & Communities at Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, United Kingdom
Lisa has been a lead Resound Project Manager (Health & Communities) for the UK’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra since 2014, during which time she has devised and managed an impressive range of learning projects within all manner of educational, community and site-specific settings – from prisons and hospitals, to schools and museums – opening up orchestral experiences and creative music opportunities to thousands of participants across England and internationally. In addition to producing national touring projects and establishing a professional development programme for musicians of the Orchestra, she leads regular training on music-making with people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
Lisa has led on the award-winning STROKESTRA®programme since its inception, and is currently overseeing a three-year roll out and research project examining the impacts of the programme on participants, staff and the wider community.
Join Lisa at Communicating the Arts in Montreal this october! She will present the STOKESTRA® programme and explore the ways in which orchestral outreach programmes can partner with health providers to design meaningful interventions that maximise health and wellbeing outcomes in communities in “STROKESTRA®: Holistic Stroke Rehabilitation through Creative Music-making”
