With over 20 years of industry experience, first as an award-winning restaurateur and more recently as a food and hospitality industry expert consultant, Lucy has an in-depth knowledge of the Australian food industry.
As a Partner in Straight To The Source; Co-founder and Program Director of Appetite for Excellence; and, Project Director of the delicious. Produce Awards, Lucy works closely with leading chefs and restaurateurs such as Peter Gilmore, Matt Moran, Maggie Beer and, a wide-reaching network of Australia’s finest producers.
Career highlights include owning and managing three award-winning restaurants in Sydney, Australia; being invited to present a dinner at the prestigious James Beard Foundation in New York; and, co-founding the not-for-profit Appetite for Excellence, a highly regarded national restaurant industry awards program that identifies and mentors emerging young talent with awards for outstanding young chefs, waiters and restaurateurs.
Lucy is an advocate for the hospitality industry, young industry professionals, regional food producers and the Australian food industry and brings a wealth of experience and industry insider’s knowledge and contacts to the projects she is involved with.
