Head, Education, Community Engagement, Cultural Programs at McCord Stewart Museum, Canada
Mélanie Deveault is the Head of Education, Community Engagement and Cultural Programs for the McCord Stewart Museum. She has a master’s degree in art history from the Université de Montréal, as well as a master’s degree in museology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. For more than a decade, she taught art history to college students. As Educational Projects Developer at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Mélanie Deveault created ÉducArt (2017), an award-winning digital educational platform. Through her work, she is committed to approaching art, history and culture from the perspective of social inclusion and to help create safer spaces for all communities within museum walls.
