Dr Steven Hadley is an academic researcher and an internationally recognised expert on audiences for the arts. As a consultant, trainer and speaker he has worked in Italy, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Spain and Singapore. Steven currently holds posts at universities in Leeds, Sheffield and Lüneburg. He is an Associate Consultant (The Audience Agency); Policy and Reviews Editor for Cultural Trends; Member of the Editorial Board (ENCATC Journal of Cultural Management and Policy) and Steering Committee Member (Cultural Research Network, USA). Recent publications include work on hyperinstrumentalism in cultural policy, the strategic development of cultural organisations and cultural democracy.
Steven participated at CTM BRU when he presented the closing keynote of the conference, Is the Museum a Democratic Institution?.
Steven was at CTACPH as he and Niels Righolt (CKI) shared their latest ideas in a keynote: “Audience Engagement in the Experience Economy”.
