Anthony Bastic AM, Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director, AGB Events

As an international event designer, Anthony’s extensive creative talents have brought some of the worlds most inspiring event experiences to life. Anthony prides himself on storytelling which captivates and unites diverse communities. Since founding AGB Events, Anthony has conceived and produced a multitude of successful events in Australia and internationally. Anthony was instrumental in establishing Vivid Sydney and was associated with the event holding positions of Curator and Festival Director of Light for a decade. Anthony also created the annual Lights of Christmas projections–a three-week, evening celebration of the essence of Christmas–another public event that regularly breaks attendance records and is now firmly part of a Christmas tradition for Sydneysiders and visitors. As the creative leader of AGB, Anthony also developed and inaugurated The Australian Garden Show Sydney, the Lights of Boston, and produced the first two iLight Marina Bay in Singapore. Before establishing AGB Events, Anthony held high-profile creative positions in the events industry including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney 2000 Olympics Live Sites, Rugby World Cup 2003, Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Centennial Parklands and Sydney City Council.
