Discover the National Gallery of Canada’s Architectural Secrets

See the iconic Gallery through an architect’s eye. This tour will look at the relationship between the building and the city. It will also provide insights on how material, light, and geometry shape each space, from “modern classical” grandeur to the stripped-back “white box”, highlighting the way art is presented.
The tour will be led by Serge Belet, Senior Manager, Public Affairs & Partnerships at the Gallery. Former architect specialized in the museum sector, he previously worked at Norman Foster’s firm on projects such as the Carré d’Art in Nîmes and the British Museum.
