Nick Sharp

Nick Sharp (he/him) is the Chief Digital Officer of the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC - the most-visited art museum in the United States. Previously Director of Digital, Data and Insight at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, Nick has an extensive background in arts marketing and digital transformation. At the RA, he led a team that created significant growth in both online audience and digital revenue. This focus on growth has continued in the US where he has doubled the National Gallery’s digital audience in under two years. With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Nick focuses on data-driven approaches to audience strategy, customer experience, relationship marketing.

Nick’s background is in behavior change communications, experience design and digital product development, including senior roles at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport, proposition development for GOV.UK, and running multi-million-pound voter engagement campaigns.
