We know it’s not 2022 yet, but we have made a set of new resolutions and a wave of change is taking Communicating the Arts towards new horizons. It’s time we shared those with you.
Those past two years, many of you have changed institutions, jobs, careers and sectors even. Some of you had no choice in doing so, some have had tough and painful times in the process; others opened new and much brighter chapters elsewhere and we wish you all the best. There’s 20 000 of you on this list and after 9 years of writing to you every month, we feel like our message and impact is diluted in trying to reach such a large crowd; not to mention the various sub-newsletters we’ve developed over the years. We want to make sure that we remain extra-relevant to those of you who read our dispatches, come to our events and wish to keep conversations going.
For this reason, we will be stopping all of our newsletters (including this one) and launching a brand new list in 2022. Dedicated to established (and upcoming or aspiring!) professionals working in communications and public engagement, this new monthly newsletter will do its best to tackle issues that matter to Culture professionals around the world and give them a platform to share and present best practices. To complement this next newsletter, we have decided to revamp and relaunch our Slack group! Less channels and more focus on the topics that matter to you. With the Slack group, our aim is to offer you a happy and supporting space allowing for year-round participation, learning, career-building and connecting. More info on this below.
