Christiane Pracht has built the largest and second largest membership program in New Zealand. First at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki and now at Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira. 

Under her leadership, Gallery membership grew from 750 in 2015 to over 7,200 in 2018. In August 2019 Christiane accepted the newly created position of Membership Manager at Auckland Museum responsible for developing, implementing, and running its new membership program. Museum Membership was launched in 2020. Today it is the second largest membership program in New Zealand. 

Christiane believes in connecting people with art. She holds a master’s degree in art history and cultural studies from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.

She first spoke at Culture Business Sydney in 2019 sharing her experience of building a membership program incorporating and honoring an existing Friends Society. Christiane returns to Culture Business to discuss her data driven approach to growing membership revenue and how this is balanced with testing assumptions in real life in her talk “What's in it for me? Knowing your members and why it matters.”
