In building her career over the last 10 years, Ilana Gertskis has merged interests in the arts and communications, working extensively in Sydney’s arts and culture sector; at commercial galleries, cultural precincts, and Sydney’s premier art fair.
Ilana has worked as part of Sydney Jewish Museum’s marketing team for 6 years. Now, as Head of Marketing and Audience Development, she plays a central role in the strategic planning of the Museum’s future programs and audience growth, as part of its major expansion project. From branding decisions to advertising placements, Ilana places disciplinary focus on data and customer-centricity.
Ilana is focused on cementing the Sydney Jewish Museum on Sydney’s cultural map as a unique, inspiring boutique museum that welcomes and is relevant to people from all backgrounds.
Ilana holds a Bachelor of Art Theory with Honours from University of NSW, and a Master of Marketing from University of Technology Sydney.
