Jo Smith is currently Artistic Director of CircusWA - a circus arts centre in Fremantle. Throughout the 90’s she worked between China, Darwin and Perth in sociology & linguistics and as a Performance Installation artist. In early 2000's Jo began work in arts management when appointed Director of a small community festival in Denmark. She co-devised a writers’ festival for Albany in partnership with Perth Festival and then appointed to AusdanceWA’s award winning regional contemporary dance program. In 2017 Jo joined CircusWA to develop a strategy of survival and has overseen their growth into a state recognised arts org.
