Platforming diverse artists and creatives, ensuring people from all ethnicities and backgrounds get the opportunities in the arts.
I am a Filipino raised in the UK, whose professional career is centred on strategic content and connectivity. I completed my undergraduate studies in journalism in Manchester and pursued my masters degree in London and France, setting my focus on global communication. I swiftly shifted my professional path to creating and platforming diverse voices. My expertise is applied within the arts industry, spanning performing arts and fine arts. I view art as the most effective vehicle for social messaging, especially when collaborating with the public and charitable sectors. I am driven by the new digital era, where the focus is not just on distribution, but on how stories can be presented in these new spaces. Leveraging technology to deliver immersive, social justice-driven narratives that actively cut through digital noise to command global attention.
My driving force is the firm conviction that the arts must actively reflect the extraordinary global diversity of the communities they serve. While acknowledging the rich tapestry of backgrounds within the UK arts scene, my core ambition is to become a pioneering voice that champions true, international representation in decision-making roles. I see an immense opportunity to elevate the arts by widening the circle of influence globally. My long-term goal is to initiate tangible, structural change within international arts institutions. By successfully integrating varied voices into leadership and programming, we can create a more dynamic and equitable ecosystem. Ultimately, I strive for an industry where every community and background sees their stories and experiences authentically brought to the forefront, forging a culturally richer and more globally relevant future for the arts worldwide.
I joined 30UNDER30 because it was the perfect time to get advice from global industry leaders. I was ready to learn and knew what I wanted to achieve but needed guidance from people with different backgrounds and experiences. The program has been motivating and truly eye-opening. It has pushed me to grow my international network and skills. Best of all, connecting with people worldwide has affirmed my identity as a global citizen—a Filipino raised in the UK. My mentor has been key, giving me the clear guidance and confidence needed to pursue my ambitious goals.
