April 2021: Making New Care Spaces Within and Around Our Institutions

April 2021, newsletter 51

We, at Communicating the arts, have been working to wrap our heads around which cultural organisations have re-opened and where. We have readers (that’s you !) all over the world and stay relevant to the reality of what you are experiencing is paramount to us. Well, the cartography of re-openings is complex and ever-shifting. There seems to be no geographical logic to who can re-open and you are probably – whether open or not – feeling the weight of this umpteenth layer of incertitude.

Whether your doors are open or not, and despite the many differences observed from one institution to another, there are two common threads that most of you seem to be wanting to focus on in the months and years to come : mental health and the renewed uses of public spaces.
