Stéphanie Targui

Stéphanie Targui has been working at the crossroads of museums, digital innovation and nature conservation for 20 years. At the French Natural History Museum, she has founded the digital and audiovisual teams, led the digital strategy and built the online institutional ecosystem of the 13 museums, galleries, botanical gardens and zoos: websites, citizen science, stories from scientific expeditions, new media experiments, with the aim of building the institution's digital identity, developing online mediation towards a community of visitors and citizens committed to the conservation of biodiversity.

In 2017, she initiated the first VR program which led to the creation of the first permanent VR room in a museum in France: the Cabinet of Virtual Reality. Since 2021, she is fully dedicated to digital and audiovisual innovation. To marvel and engage the audiences, she encourages the development of new kinds of XR/immersive experiences. She impulsed and led the production of a major production on the History of Life : Mondes Disparus - Life Chronicles. This coproduction between the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle and Emissive – Excurio announces a new type of experiences designed to reconnect people with nature and involve them in its preservation.
