October 2020 – A New Deal for Arts & Culture
The latest Culture Track survey, released last July, shows that 96% of American citizens believe that Arts & Culture organisations should play a role in times of crisis like the ones we have faced in 2020. While expectations (and/or needs) are high in our respective local communities, how do we meet those expectations yet make sure we don’t crash (and burn out all of our remaining work force) while doing it ?
September 2020 – Keep your head above troubled financial waters
If you’ve recently partook in a survey aiming to asses the economic impact of Covid-19 on the Arts and Culture field, raise your hand. The numbers we’ve seen circulate are so high it is almost impossible to actually comprehend the extent of the damage on our sector. We look around to see colleagues being furloughed, cultural institutions announcing their doors will never re-open, and many more signs that the situation is direr that it’s ever been. Are there ways we could keep our heads above water?
