Guided Tour of the Exhibition Perhaps, All of Us at the Korean Cultural Centre

Perhaps, All of Us explores how we form relationships and coexist in a world shaped by diverse experiences and life conditions. Conceived in Seoul and presented as a traveling exhibition in Washington, D.C. and Ottawa, it examines the shared spatial identity of capital cities through three themes: publicness, historicity, and diversity.

The first section, Our Unknown Country, explores how we define “us” and “not us,” and the boundaries between exclusion and hospitality. Time Out of Bounds examines forgotten or silenced histories and how they shape our present and future. The final section, Perhaps, All of Us, considers difference and unfamiliarity, seeking possibilities for coexistence through diversity.

Featuring contemporary Korean art, the exhibition connects individual experiences with broader social contexts, encouraging visitors to question familiar norms and boundaries. By engaging with the experiences and perspectives of others, the exhibition suggests that empathy can grow into solidarity, bringing us closer to understanding what it means to be “us.”
