Cultural organizations “are faced with radical uncertainty: they do not know, they cannot know, what they need to know.” This observation was initially made by Haridimos Tsoukas in the 1990s, regarding firms but we can all agree that they apply to our institutions just as much as they did – and still do – private companies.
February 2021: Good News – Lausanne in September 2021
Good news: We will make the conference happen in Lausanne in September 2021. With the Plateforme 10, the Canton de Vaud and all our Swiss partners we are delighted to announce the final dates of Communicating the Arts in Lausanne: 27-29 September 2021.
January 2021: Take the First Step in Faith
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step”. Those words uttered by Martin Luther King Jr. whose memory and legacy we honour in this month of January has become our motto for this new year.
What have we learnt?

Our Winners 30 Under 30 – Promotion 2020
Out of 225 researches, the jury members selected the best three initiatives. The final winners were excitedly announced by CTA on the 16th of November, at the Roadshow Australia, held in Art Gallery of NSW.

November 2020 – Only 10 Days to Go!
That's right, our one and only 2020 conference is right around the corner and it promises to be outstanding. We've put together a wonderful program including presentations by international speakers (videos) and Australian speakers, as well as keynotes, masterclasses, workshops, discussions, panels and collaborative exercises.

October 2020 – A New Deal for Arts & Culture
The latest Culture Track survey, released last July, shows that 96% of American citizens believe that Arts & Culture organisations should play a role in times of crisis like the ones we have faced in 2020. While expectations (and/or needs) are high in our respective local communities, how do we meet those expectations yet make sure we don’t crash (and burn out all of our remaining work force) while doing it ?
